We would like to thank everyone who came down to help decorate the gazebo and 3rd Avenue, as well as everyone who attended the Freedom Light Up Night and Vicary Mansion events on Saturday, December 3rd.

We wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

We are excited to announce the next steps in the Freedom Borough beautification initiative!

On Saturday, Oct. 15th, 2022, there were an additional 14 trees & shrubs planted at the Ashland Playground on 4th Ave. They include:

Red Oak
American Elm
Red Maple
Sargent Crabapple
Sugar Maple

Please be mindful while at the park of these new trees and do your best to keep children and pets away  from these saplings as they are still very fragile. Some trees already have protective netting around them, all trees will have this in the very near future.

We would like to thank Councilman Kevin Horan and his family for their donation of the trees & supplies,     as well as planting them. Thanks to Mayor Nadine Padezanin and her daughter for allowing us to use their truck and time to deliver materials to the site (and Starbucks coffee 😊).

A special shout out to Lowes Monaca and Store Manager Rebecca for their generous donation of supplies to the borough to help make this latest improvement possible! Show your support by stopping in and thanking them for helping to make our community a better place to live!!!

Future tree plantings around town will include the town square park on 4th Ave., where the old school was located, and along 3rd Ave. Stay tuned for more details!
